About me...

I've been a photographer since my dad gave me my very first camera when I was a kid. It was a little 110 point-and-shoot camera with a built-in flash, and I eagerly took pictures of my model horses and tons of other stuff. I still remember the smell of the film cartridges! Years later, Dad passed on to me his 35mm Pentax K1000, my first fully manual camera. I spent hours and hours in the darkroom during college photography classes, playing with images that camera captured. Through the years I have shot probably thousands of images of everything under the sun. Thanks to my graphic arts and illustration studies in college, I developed an eye for capturing the beauty around me and making it into a work of art.

More recently, I've had the privilege of shooting portraits and events for a variety of organizations, including theatrical productions at a local youth drama school, Crystal Sea Drama Company in San Antonio, Texas.

I also have had the privilege of helping out with costuming at CSDC, as well as teaching sewing classes. I learned to sew in 6th and 7th grade Home Ec classes, and continued to borrow my mom's sewing machine until she finally gave it to me! I enjoy creating things with textiles so the opportunity to work with the talented people at the theatre has been a real blessing.
